Biography

Ayumi Yamashita is a Japanese woman suspected of killing her three children between early December 2018 and late June 2023. The child born in early December 2018 was declared stillborn, and the child born in mid-April 2020 was found to have been killed by Yamashita herself by suffocation. She was sentenced to six years in prison in 2025 for one count of murder and two counts of abandoning a body.
