The term Southside Slayer has been used to describe multiple killers involved in a series of murders in South Los Angeles and elsewhere. This page lists individuals who were referred to as the "Southside Slayer" in the media or by law enforcement.

Individuals[]

  • Daniel Lee Siebert (1954-2008) — killed 10–13 people between 1979 and 1986 across Alabama, California, Nevada, and New Jersey.
  • Louis Craine (1957-1989) — killed around 5 people in California between 1984 and 1987.
  • Lonnie Franklin (1952-2020), also known as Grim Sleeper — killed 10–25 people in California between 1985 and 2007
  • Michael Hughes (born 1956) — killed at least 7 people in California and possibly in Michigan and Maryland between 1986 and 1993.
  • Chester Turner (born 1966) — killed 15 people in California between 1987 and 1998.
  • Ivan Hill (born 1961) — killed 9+ people between 1986 and 1994, including at least one Southside Slayer murder in South Los Angeles; he's suspected of more.
  • Timothy Wilson Spencer (1962-1994), also known as The Southside Strangler — killed 5 people in Virginia between 1984 and 1988.
