Biography[]
Nikita Vakhtangovich Lytkin (March 24, 1993 - November 30, 2021) was a Russian punk musician and serial killer. He was one of the Academy maniacs (accompanied by Artyom Anoufriev), who made 15 (6 killed, 9 injured) victims between December 2010 and April 2011, in Irkutsk, Russia. In November 2021, he slashed his wrist at at the Correctional Colony No. 7 where he was being detained and eventually died by suicide after being neglected and ignored by prison guards.
Early life[]
Nikita Lytkin was born to a Russian mother, Marina, and a father of Ossetian (an Eastern Iranian ethnic group) descent. Like his accomplice, Artyom Anoufriev, Nikita's father was absent, having left the family when Nikita was still a child. He would return sporadically, then leave again. The two had a difficult relationship; the last time Lytkin saw his father, he was 16 years old.
Lytkin met his future accomplice Artyom Anoufriev, who was only one year older at a mutual friend, Artur Lysenko's birthday party. Though described when he was younger as an outwardly calm child, who exhibited exemplary behavior and performed well at school, Lytkin's attitude changed following his meeting with Anoufriev. Anoufriev's unfriendly attitude began to spread to him, which caused Lytkin to lose friends he had had before.
