Julia Fortmeyer was an American abortionist, suspected serial killer and baby farmer, who was known for performing several illegal and dangerous abortions, and is also suspected of having killed more than 100 babies who were unable to be aborted. She was discovered in 1875 and was sentenced to 10 years in jail, where she once escaped. She probably died in 1899
