Biography[]
Little is publicly available about the man and the murders he committed. From what little documentation is given, the Throatcutter killed at least 12 women in a little village somewhere within the Bas-Congo State - he would do this by slitting the victim's throat and then dismembering the body. It was alleged that he started sometime in the year 1999 and continued up until his eventual death in May 2000, with the local authorities having released an identikit of the suspect at some point in time.[1]
In May 2000, it was reported that the Throatcutter attempted to attack another victim, but was surprised in the act by the woman's husband. The two men engaged in a scuffle, before the husband managed to slit the attacker's throat. The killer's identity was never publicly revealed, and thus information about this case is scarce.[1]
